Croydon Town Centre Regeneration Strategy: Drop-In (Thornton Heath)
10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Thornton Heath Library, 190 Brigstock Rd, Thornton Heath, CR7 7JB
Thank you for your input on the Croydon Town Centre Regeneration Strategy to date – we have heard from nearly 1,900 of you on the vision for the future town centre!
Next, we would like your input to identify what is needed to make this vision happen. We have explored how the town centre works for local communities, and heard what sort of changes people would like to see in the future. From this, we have created a series of proposals for how spaces and activities which may need to change to make the vision for the town centre a reality.
Come pop-by Thornton Heath Library to find out more and input your thoughts, which will help guide the next stage of the strategy. At this drop-in you can come and speak to members of the Project Team. They will be on hand to take you through the ideas that have been shared so far, and listen to your comments, thoughts, and queries.
Topics include:
- Places that celebrate Croydon’s heritage, identity and culture
- Places to shop, relax, socialise and work
- Places that are accessible, welcoming and safe
- Places that help Croydon’s communities to live happy, healthy lives
Drop-in when it suits you, there is no need to book!

Croydon Council is creating a new strategy to underpin the regeneration being planned for the town centre. A series of creative activities provide opportunities for the community, businesses and partners to get involved. This exhibition is complimented by a series of workshops facilitated by local arts charity Turf Projects, who are part of a multi-disciplinary team led by We Made That, working with Croydon Council in partnership with the GLA. The engagement is taking place from November 2023 into Autumn 2024.
